Crugybar Stud have always taken the utmost care to select the best stallions for their mares.  DERWEN RAILWAY EXPRESS & TYHEN COMET lines feature prominently in the welsh cobs chosen, not least because Carwyn is very particular about the amount of feather he believes a welsh cob should have.

For 2010 Crugybar Stud is delighted to announce the arrival of TREVALLION WELSH MAGIC (DERWEN TELYNOR x Trevallion Welsh Lady) on loan from the Lidgett Stud in Lancashire.  Many thanks to the Hopkins family for leasing such an exceptional stallion to Crugybar.

 For 2009 Crugybar Stud was fortunate to lease TREVALLION TOMOS (TREVALLION SPARTACUS x Trevallion Duchess) from Emma, Moelyparc and both Carwyn and John look forward to the 2010 foals that are now expected by him.

Tomos has now returned home to Flintshire.

 In 2007 & 2008 prior to his going overseas to the Ring Stud in Belgium, NORTHLEACH JACK DANIELS (LLANARTH LORD NELSON x Northleach Danielle)covered the majority of the mares, with the exception of Crugybar Morganna Mai, the 7 year old mare who is out competing this year, who has had a outstanding filly foal by PARC MATADOR (DERWEN RAILWAY EXPRESS x Parc Rachel) who still resides at the Parc Stud just down the road from Lampeter.

In 2006 several mares were sent to BRYNITHON NORTHERN WIND (THORNEYSIDE THE TERMINATOR x Nesscliffe Myfanwy) owned by Katy and Peter Rodway at the Cwmcerrig Stud with two fillies being retained by the stud, the one filly Crugybar Martha Morganna Mai being champion yearling at Glanusk in 2008 and her half sister Crugybar Mari Megan Mai due to be shown later on this year.
